A Saturday Night of Song with Tahlia Murphy

Tahlia Murphy is a classically trained cross-over singer. Experienced in both Opera & Cabaret she is passionate about sharing her love of music through performance & teaching. Tahlia has wanted to give regional performances for a long time as she comes from a country town background. An event for you to come & enjoy yourself, hear some favourites & perhaps dip your toes into some unfamiliar genres too!

In 2012, Tahlia Murphy graduated from the Elder Conservatorium of Music, having earned her Bachelor of Music & Honours in Classical Voice Performance. Since then, Tahlia has appeared in The Adelaide Fringe Festival and Adelaide Cabaret Fringe in original shows such as The Bailey Dolls, Crazy with Sondheim (including an OOTS regional tour in April 2015). To Diva or not To Diva (which she wrote, directed & produced independently) enjoyed a successful opening season in the 2015 Adelaide Fringe Festival. During the 2015 Adelaide Cabaret Fringe, she appeared as a performer for the Opening Night Gala. Cabaret Fringe saw her also present a second season of To Diva or not to Diva. In December 2015, Tahlia made her operatic debut as Barbarina in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro with Co-Opera’s Intermezzo Series; she has since performed the role of Servilia in Mozart’s La Clemenza di Tito. For Emma Knights Productions she has appeared in several sell-out Floating Melodies concerts with The Good Girl’s Guide (Verity Music & Media) & was also a lead soloist in the acclaimed sell-out event A Day with Jane at Ayers House.

A perfect match for our passionate vocalist is our generous wine sponsor, Crabtree Wines.
Watervale based producing small parcels of award winning handcrafted wines by people who love what they do. A boutique estate winery, with the annual crush around one hundred tonnes. The tiny winery is at full capacity every vintage, and the wines very limited in production. Their cellar door is open seven days, if you can’t squeeze in a visit on the way here or back home you can enjoy Crabtree wines at this event.
